The organisers of the much coveted annual Capital Jazz Festival, Abuja, after several months of preparation are now set to present the third edition of the festival.

In line with this, the two-day event which is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of November at the Sarius Palm Gar­den in Maitama with names of celebrated music acts expected to perform at the event.



Highly selected artistes within and out­side Nigeria like Timi Dakolo, Yemi Sax, Aramide, Perpie, Imoleayo Balogun, CEF, Jessica Bongos, Edizycs, Shola Eml, Adline Owens, Jon Saxx, Jackiem Joyner, Tomi Sax, A-Strings, Kiral Christine Kamau and others will all perform. 



Exclusively speaking to The AUTHOR­ITY on what led to initiating the festival and what it entails, the President of Capital Jazz Festival, Mr Ado Ibrahim said: “My passion for jazz music, the love for my country Nigeria and city Abuja is the rea­son why we brought together Capital Jazz Festival. While I was in college, I took the history of Jazz. It was fascinating to know Jazz started from Africa during slavery pe­riod. The Jazz Festival is an attempt to ig­nite this fine genre of music, borne out of Africa, into our consciousness.




“Again Jazz music which cuts across all regions of music has the power to bring together people from different aspects of life. This is what the festival will be offering the Capital and all those that will be in at­tendance; quality - audience, vendors, en­vironment, performance and artistes.
